The 2020D FB VRS scanner incorporates Kofax’s leading-edge VirtualReScan™  (VRS) image enhancement technology. This exclusive and powerful combination of hardware and software takes the guesswork out of scanner settings. The "intelligent brightness/contrast adjustment" automatically adjusts the scanner’s settings to optimize image quality with every scan. Plus, an intelligent monitoring agent continuously checks image quality and rejects images that fall below preset quality levels. VRS is designed to automatically recover from many common problems such as paper jams and out-of-paper errors. This makes the 2020D FB VRS a major plus when it comes to scan operator efficiency, ultimately resulting in higher productivity. This customer-centric approach to design has also earned Bell & Howell a number 1 rating in reliability, ease of operation, paper handling, service and technical support.

Superior capacity is achieved with an Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) that accommodates up to 150 sheets of 20# bond.  Offering 3 times the capacity of other scanners in its class, the 2020D FB VRS leaves the competition far behind in this critical capability. Paper handling is equally impressive. Our 2020D FB VRS can accommodate a wide array of sizes – from personal checks to 11" x 17" paper – all handled with legendary Bell & Howell reliability.

High-speed scanning adds even more efficiency to the 2020D FB VRS. It delivers 65 ppm in simplex mode, and up to 76 ipm in duplex mode. To facilitate duplex scanning, its Contact Image Sensor (CIS) allows two-sided documents to be scanned in a single operation.  Outstanding image quality is assured with 256 gray scale gradations and 400 dpi resolution.

The 2020D FB VRS is the first A3 scanner to meet the stringent specifications of the EPA’s Energy Star Program and Low Noise Rating.  Operating the 2020D FB VRS couldn’t be simpler. And, its space-saving design allows you to place the scanner virtually anywhere.
